Special Events At Two Lights Studio

The "Living Room" Series

Another new series of Special Event, launched summer 2009. Irregularly scheduled screenings of rarely seen classic films. We call these programs "The Living Room Series."

7/27/09
Minnie and Moskowitz, written and directed by John Cassavetes in 1971, starring Gena Rowlands and Seymour Cassel. Cassavetes’ only screwball romantic comedy! And – very hard to find. The choice of Minnie and Moskowitz was inspired by the previous Scene Study/Masters Class in which we worked on scenes from this screenplay – everyone loved the script so much that afterwards we wanted to watch it together. When I realized how rare copies are, and when John found one, we decided to open it up to other Two Lights people. People were so energized after watching the movie that we stayed late at the studio, hanging out with wine and snacks, and talking Cassavetes.
